How have the looming collapse of civilization and genocide become normalized? The Palestine and climate movements have succeeded in bringing their causes to the forefront and making them a significant part of public debate, yet they have still struggled to get them treated as urgent matters requiring real, immediate action. Why is this? This event, organized by Sumud, addresses this burning question and explores how we can prevent the normalization of the unspeakable. The panel will be moderated by Sumud’s Vice Chair, Lina Jarallah.
There will also be a Sumud booth at the Nousu Festival, where you can find information and support merchandise.
Nousu is an activism festival organized by Greenpeace on Saturday, June 6th, bringing together citizen changemakers, experts, and artists to build a movement. The event features over 20 thought-provoking discussions, performances, and workshops—and, of course, a party. Admission to the festival is free, and everyone is warmly welcome! Tekstin talo, Lintulahdenkatu 3, Helsinki.
