In light of the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, Palestine has become a unifying force for decolonial activism and global solidarity.
Solidarity means action, but efforts to unite the Global South and North often face issues like white saviorism and lack of representation. How can we move from oppressive power structures to meaningful alliances and transformative action? What does decolonizing solidarity mean in practice?
Join our roundtable for an intersectional and decolonial perspective. Hear from esteemed panelists Javiera Marchant Aedo, Noora Dadu, and Helga West, who are actively engaged in the fight against various forms of colonization and repression. The roundtable is moderated by Lili De Paola.
At the event, you’ll also have the chance to check out and purchase Sumud’s amazing merchandise, with all proceeds supporting our activism.
The event is part of the Finnish Colloquium of Middle East and North African Studies titled “Decolonizing Middle Eastern Studies – Critical Perspectives and Emerging Debates” by the Finnish Institute in the Middle East and Tampere University.
