Workshop: Poems for Palestine

Join us in writing poems for Palestine! In this workshop, you will hear an introduction to the significance of poetry in Palestinian culture and get the chance to try your hand at collage and blackout poetry. The theme of the poems will, of course, be Palestine, and as you create, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on the topic with like-minded people and learn ways to get involved in activism. At the end, participants can present their works and, if they wish, donate their poems to Sumud Tampere’s zine project.

The workshop is free and open to everyone, from beginners to experienced poets. The first 15 participants will be admitted! We will provide the supplies and materials; just bring your creativity and solidarity. The workshop will be conducted in both Finnish and English.

The workshop is organized by Sumud Tampere as part of the Musta Pispala festival.
