We are seeking a substitute for the Executive Director for Sumud for the period of May 12 \u2013 December 31, 2025, as the current Executive Director goes on parental leave. The exact starting date is negotiable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Executive Director’s responsibilities include planning and leading the organization’s activities, financial and general administration, personnel management, and organizational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Executive Director will work closely with Sumud\u2019s 2\u20133 employees, board, and active members. A bookkeeping firm provides support in financial matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We require the applicant to have the ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture, relevant education and work experience, fluency in Finnish and English, and commitment to Sumud’s values and principles<\/a>. Experience in the NGO sector and an interest in Palestine and human rights are considered an asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sumud is a young and evolving organization, which means both the opportunity to influence its direction and the need for adaptability and tolerance for uncertainty. We are looking for someone who sees this as an exciting challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a part-time position with a 50% workload, with salary according to pay grade 6 of the Collective Agreement for Social Sector Organizations. Our office is located in Helsinki, with the possibility of partial remote work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
