Recruiting: Organisational assistant eligible for pay subsidy
23/03/2026, 12:51Sumud is recruiting an organisational assistant eligible for pay subsidy.
The organisational assistant’s role consists of communications, maintaining the online shop, organising events, and assisting with other organisational work. The main responsibilities of the organization assistant include:
- planning, coordinating and executing communication in accordance with the communication plan (e.g. social media posts, newsletters)
- maintaining and updating the website
- maintaining the online shop (e.g. adding products, shipping orders, and marketing)
- organising events (e.g. planning the programme, booking the venue)
In addition, the organization assistant assists, as agreed, for example with campaign work and the organization of events.
We expect the applicant to be well organized, have good teamwork skills, possess strong Finnish and English language skills, and be committed to Sumud’s values and principles. An interest in the situation in Palestine and prior experience in similar tasks are considered an asset. The applicant must be eligible for wage subsidy.
The employment will begin on 4th of May 2026 or as agreed. The start date may be affected by the processing time of the wage subsidy application. The duration of the employment is 5-12 months, depending on the length of the applicant’s eligibility for the wage subsidy.
The position is part-time at 50 % working hours (18 h 45 min per week). The monthly salary is 1 175 € (Sosiaalialan järjestöjen työehtosopimuksen vaativuusryhmä 4).
The work is primarily carried out at Sumud’s office in Helsinki. Partial remote work is possible by agreement.
