Helsinki: Demonstration on the 77th Anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba

Suomen Rauhanpuolustajat, the Finnish-Arab Friendship Society, the Palestinian Community in Finland and Sumud – the Finnish Palestine Network will organise a demonstration on the 77th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba on Thursday, May 15, at 5 pm, at the Helsinki Railway Square.

“Nakba” (the catastrophe) refers to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in 1948. It involved violent displacement, confiscation of land and property, the systematic destruction of Palestinian society, and the suppression of culture, identity, political rights, and national aspirations.

Join us to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and to remember the tragedy of the Nakba, which led to the forcible displacement of over 750,000 Palestinians and the death of tens of thousands.

We will not forget – we will not give up. Palestine will live forever!
