A Vote of No Confidence – Mass protest
A Vote of No Confidence mass protest on Sunday, May 18, in Helsinki, Kuopio and Oulu will bring together people who oppose the dismantling of the welfare state, tax cuts for the wealthy, discriminatory policies, and the erosion of fundamental rights. With this protest, we express our concern about the direction in which the government is taking Finland – and there are many of us who are worried. The mass protest will take place at the Helsinki Senat Square, Kuopio’s Market Square and Oulu’s Rotuaari Square at 2 pm.
Behind the mass protest is a diverse group of Finns: teachers, doctors, social workers, researchers, artists, students, parents, and professionals from many fields. The event follows safer space principles and accessibility is ensured. The march is peaceful, family-friendly, and open to all.
