Sumud has been awarded the 2026 Compass Rose Cultural Prize!

The Compass Rose Cultural Prize awarded by Otto A. Malm’s Foundation is granted to the Finnish-Palestine Network Sumud – Suomen Palestiina-verkosto ry for its long-term work in support of Palestinian rights. Sumud is a non-profit association that operates from an intersectional, anti-racist, and anti-colonial perspective. Through campaigns, demonstrations, and petitions, the organization raises awareness of issues related to human rights, decolonization, and international justice.

The organization’s activities are carried out on a voluntary basis. Despite limited resources, the association has established itself as a significant actor in Finnish public debate and has helped bring forward perspectives that are not always given space.
