Helsinki: Refugee Film Festival

The Refugee Film Festival, which focuses on refugee issues, is here again – welcome to Korjaamo Kino in Töölö, Helsinki, on 24-25 October 2025!

Our new international films deal with Palestine, Afghanistan and Sudan. In the screening of New Domestic Films we will have short films by Ali Al-Saffu, Sherwan Haji, Zagros Manuchar and Tirdad Motavali.

The festival will open on Friday at 2 pm with a discussion led by the Support For Asylum Seekers on Finland’s international responsibility in the implementation of human rights and international law. The focus is particularly on Palestine.

Saturday opens with world premier of Fokus-zoom, a 50 minute documentary by the team of Kerttu Matinpuro, Anni Mikkonen and association of Somali families from Lieksa. The team will come to RFF all the way from Northern Carelia. All welcome!
