Jyväskylä: Movie Screening

Welcome to the international Palestine Cinema Day viewing on Thursday, 2nd of October from 5pm to 8pm. We will be viewing 2 touching and thought-provoking films by Palestinian directors. When I Saw You touches on Palestinian history, whereas A State of Passion shows the deafening present of the genocide.

Palestine Cinema Day is an annual international film festival organised by Filmlab Palestine. On the 2nd of October there are viewings all over the world to spread awareness of Palestinian cinema and culture. The films will be viewed through the permission of the festival organisation.

The viewing will be held at Vaasankatu 10, Jyväskylä (the Left Alliance regional chapter office). Bringing your own movie snacks and alcohol-free drinks is welcome. Unfortunately the space is not accessible due to an on-going renovation which leaves only a door with stairs in the front functioning. The films have english subtitles. The viewing is organised by Sumud Jyväskylä and Free Palestine JKL.
