Sumud is looking for a university intern for the summer of 2025!

The main task of the university intern will be to implement Sumud’s summer school with the assistance of Sumud’s other staff and board members. The role includes tasks such as creating the program, contacting speakers and participants, communication, as well as coordination and hosting duties during the summer school. Additional responsibilities can be tailored to the intern’s skills and interests, which may include communication, advocacy work, and event organization.

The internship will take place from May to August, with working hours at 50% from May to July and 100% in August. The salary is €1430 for full-time months and €715 for part-time months. The exact start date and duration are negotiable, but full availability in August is expected, as the summer school will take place on August 22–24. Our office is located in Helsinki, and employees are expected to come to the office around once a week, with the option to work remotely otherwise.

We expect the applicant to have strong teamwork skills, good proficiency in Finnish and English, and a commitment to Sumud’s values and principles. Understanding of the situation in Palestine and previous experience in similar tasks will be considered an advantage. The intern must be eligible for university internship funding.
